AGC Chemicals offers several products which can bring surface to the highest quality. Our first product ETFE Film is a membrane structure which can be used for roofs and facades for prestigious buildings such as sport stadiums, airports, shopping malls and others. It boasts high light transmission, long durability and flexibility to meet various needs from architects. Our second product Lumiflon is a raw material for coatings which gives high weatherability, corrosion resistance and wide range of gloss and colours to the users. It is used for architectural applications as well as heavy duty applications such as long-lasting bridges.

dr. Carl Maywald
In order to strengthen the technological leadership of Vector Foiltec, the inventor of ETFE building cladding systems, Dr. Carl Maywald has been appointed head of the R&D department in October 2008. As having successfully completed his PHD in atomic physics, Dr. Maywald at first put extensive work into the development of a computer program for calculation of the optical and thermal performance of Texlon® ETFE cushion systems. The Texlon printing and coating technology provides unique performance regarding solar control. Besides various patents he has been responsible for launching the first environmental product declaration for transparent roof cladding systems, the Texlon® EPD, in 2011. The quality management system of Vector Foiltec has been developed such as welding quality is unrivaled.
Ben Runhaar
After finishing my study polymer-chemistry at the University of Groningen, I started to work at Keyser & Mackay, a distributor for specially chemicals in Amsterdam. Subsequently I worked at CPKelco a producer of rheology modifiers for 11 years. I held different global sales and product management responsibilities in the Oil field, Paper and Food industry, including a 4 year stay in Singapore.
Since January 2013 I work for AGC Chemicals in Europe, responsible for the sales of our highly durable resins Lumiflon in the EMEA region.
